Privacy policy

Bryce Grill LLC, trading as brycecarry, operates brycecarry.com and is the controller of personal information it processes to operate the store, fulfil orders and provide customer support.

Information we collect

When you order, contact us or use available store features, we collect information relevant to that interaction. This can include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, payment status, return details and correspondence.

Where account features are available and you use them, we process the information needed to maintain your account.

Our storefront and service providers also process technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device details, session information, security logs and checkout interactions. Optional tracking is subject to applicable privacy choices and legal requirements.

Information comes from you, your interactions with the website and service providers supplying payment, delivery, security or support updates.

Payment information

Payment credentials are handled by the payment services available at checkout. We process transaction references and payment-status information necessary to manage purchases, refunds and disputes.

Please do not send full payment-card details, passwords or identity documents through ordinary customer-service emails.

How we use information

  • To process orders, payments and order checks.
  • To arrange dispatch, delivery and tracking.
  • To manage cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds.
  • To answer enquiries and resolve complaints.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot and secure the store.
  • To prevent fraud and manage payment disputes.
  • To meet applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations.
  • To record and respect privacy and communication choices.
  • Where relevant features are enabled and lawfully used, to measure website performance or send requested marketing.

Legal bases

We rely on performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract, to process purchases and provide related delivery and support.

We rely on legal obligations where records or disclosures are required by law.

We rely on legitimate interests to maintain a reliable and secure service, prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems and handle disputes, taking account of your rights and interests.

Where consent is required for optional tracking or marketing, we rely on your consent. You may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Information identified as necessary at checkout is needed to process the purchase. Without it, we may be unable to accept the order or deliver the goods.

Service providers and disclosures

We share information as necessary with the following categories of recipients:

  • Shopify, which provides our ecommerce platform and related services.
  • Payment providers handling authorisation, payment, refunds and disputes.
  • Fulfilment, delivery and tracking providers.
  • Communications, hosting, technical and customer-support providers used for store operations.
  • Professional advisers, authorities and other recipients where disclosure is legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We disclose information appropriate to the recipient's role. If optional analytics, advertising, review or marketing services are used, their relevant processing must be covered by the store's disclosures and applicable consent controls.

Some providers, including Shopify and payment services, may act independently for certain processing. See Shopify's Privacy Policy and the notice supplied by the payment provider you choose.

Cookies and your choices

The store uses cookies and similar technologies to support shopping sessions, basket contents, checkout and security.

A cookie consent banner is provided to manage relevant optional choices. Where consent is required, optional technologies must not operate before you consent. Continuing to browse alone is not treated as consent where an active choice is required.

You can review or withdraw optional choices through the store's available privacy controls. If you cannot find or use those controls, contact us for assistance. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although blocking essential technologies may affect shopping functions.

The banner or its linked information should identify the optional providers, purposes and storage periods relevant to the store's current configuration.

Marketing communications

Where marketing subscriptions are offered, we use the relevant permission or other lawful basis required for the communication. Placing an order does not itself mean that you consent to unrelated promotional messages.

You can unsubscribe through a message's unsubscribe facility or by contacting support@brycecarry.com. Necessary order, delivery, refund and security messages are separate from marketing.

International processing

Our business is based in the United States and uses Shopify and other service providers. Personal information may therefore be accessed or processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States, Canada and countries where relevant providers operate.

Where a restricted transfer occurs, an applicable lawful transfer mechanism is required, such as a relevant UK adequacy arrangement or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us to request information about safeguards relevant to our processing. Shopify explains its arrangements in its privacy information.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Retention depends on whether an order, return or complaint remains open, applicable accounting and tax obligations, fraud-prevention needs and relevant legal claim periods.

Support records are kept as needed to resolve and document enquiries. Consent and suppression records are retained as necessary to respect communication choices. Information no longer required is deleted or anonymised, subject to lawful retention requirements.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and object to direct marketing at any time.

Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it. Contact support@brycecarry.com to make a request. We may request proportionate verification and will respond within applicable legal time limits.

Some requests may be subject to lawful exceptions, including obligations to retain certain transaction records.

Automated checks

Payment and security providers may use automated fraud-screening tools. If a transaction is affected, contact us to request an explanation and human review where applicable. The information available may depend on the independent provider's role and responsibilities.

Security and children

We use safeguards appropriate to the information processed, but no online system can guarantee complete security.

The store is intended for adult purchasers and is not directed at children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information inappropriately.

Complaints and changes

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve a concern.

We may revise this notice as our processing changes and will communicate material changes where required.
